In a world that often shuts its doors,

And fails to see the value at their core,

We must stand up and be a voice,

For those whose challenges are not by choice.

For persons with a disability,

Their struggles can be hard to see,

But we must fight to make them known,

And create a world where they are never alone.

We must advocate for their rights as we would our own,

And strive to make their futures by leaving no stone unturned,

For every person deserves a chance,

To live a life that is worthy of more than just a glance.

So let us fight for, with, and alongside our champions true,

And help them to break through barriers we ourselves never knew,

Let’s help bring change that will last a lifetime,

And pave the way for those to come who will also need a lifeline.

For every person has a gift to bring,

And with our support, they can take wing,

Let us stand up and be strong,

And help them find where they belong.
